We focus in this message on one aspect of Jesus' crucifixion: that of his substitution in our place. Jesus is our ransom, our redemption, our propitiation, our satisfaction, and our expiation. Together, these show us what it means that Jesus dies in our place, on our behalf, and that our proper response is gratitude and faith.
