Summary: The Passover meal was a memorial meal - a meal designed to recall the Passover event, serve as a teaching opportunity, and serve as an appeal to God. The Lord's Supper is the fulfillment of the Passover meal, and as we celebrate the meal we not only remember Jesus' death, but appeal to God to remember his promises to us in Christ.
