  • Series: Here We Stand
  • Scripture: Galatians 3:1–29

Today we continue a series in celebration of the 500th anniversary of the Protestant Reformation. The Reformation is one of the most significant events in the history of our world, and it has a great impact even today in the life of our church and on our faith.

Through the course of this series, we will learn about the great central truths of the Reformation and the men and women who were used by God to proclaim them. The great men of the Reformation - Martin Luther and John Calvin - will be joined by a number of lesser known heroes of the faith. We'll see these great truths in Scripture, in the words of Jesus and in the letter to the churches. And we'll sing songs that celebrate these truths, as well, as we respond in worship and gratitude to God for so great a salvation.

Our prayer is that this series will be more than just history, more than just doctrinal truths, but will be something God uses to draw our hearts and minds to a greater love and devotion to him. And in our own day, may we play our part in proclaiming these truths of the gospel to a world that needs to hear.
